City park golf course, Baton Rouge. This is older, but I got a note from the education curator for LSU’s Museum of Art asking to use this for a visitor-manipulated collage, so here it is. I prefer the one above. (via)

Like everyone else in the universe, I’m starting to play around a lot more with the iPhone camera; Abby took this yesterday. (via Mills Baker)

Two of my favorite Tumblr folks, Loco. Hootenanny and G. Squids Locomotives, sent me and Will a few select items, including a gigantic inflatable elephant, seen here floating effortlessly high in the sky over Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The second-most popular photo I’ve posted was part of a series I took of office fluorescent lights reflected in the windows at sunset. Here’s one from today. I take a lot of office photos, I suppose.

These are both liquid now. Happy Halloween!

Last in a series about how my dogs relate to furniture: last night, Five immediately responded to the Tempur-Pedic bed, which doesn’t bounce when he turns in circles before collapsing in a heap right where I want to lie down. Bayou seemed to like it, but after I turned the light off I heard her move to a part of the room she doesn’t ordinarily sleep in, and rose to see her asleep in my laundry hamper on my sheets and clothes.
Bayou isn’t small, weighing about 55 lbs. This is a ludicrous arrangement. In the morning, she was back on the bed.
The end.

Also, I acquired a hot red couch to alleviate the chronic Ills Manor problem of Five having no furniture of his own; the sorrow in his eyes had grown too terrible to bear.

Today I got a queen-sized Tempur-Pedic bed from my friend George. I will later buy a wine glass, some high-brow vintage from Franzia, and a bowling ball to conduct appropriate experiments on it.
